Zinc scrap is essential to galvanizing, die casting, and chemical industries. We supply New Production, Old Production, Zamak die cast, and dross grades — all sourced and graded with care.
Zinc scrap purity depends heavily on origin — factory-new offcuts are very pure, while service-exposed material or dross carries oxides and other metals. Each grade suits specific downstream applications from pure re-melt to zinc chemical production.
New Production zinc scrap comes directly from zinc manufacturing or fabrication operations — offcuts, punchings, and stampings that have never been in service. The highest purity zinc scrap grade, closest to primary zinc metal.
Old Production zinc comes from end-of-life zinc products — roofing, gutters, downspouts, and zinc die cast components that have been in service. Slightly lower purity than New Production due to weathering and contamination.
Zinc die cast scrap comes from automotive, electrical, and consumer goods die cast components — door handles, carburettors, and switch housings. Zamak alloys (Zn-Al-Mg-Cu) are the most common. High aluminium content distinguishes this from pure zinc scrap.
Zinc dross is the oxide-rich surface material skimmed off molten zinc baths during galvanizing operations. It has high zinc content but requires re-refining. A large-volume byproduct of India's growing steel galvanizing industry.
Zinc ash is the lighter, more oxidised surface material from molten zinc baths — less dense than dross and with higher oxide content. Used as a feedstock for zinc oxide and zinc chemical manufacturers.
