Lead Scrap — All Grades

Soft Lead is the highest purity lead scrap — clean, unalloyed lead from sheeting, roofing, radiation shielding, and cable sheathing. It is very dense, extremely malleable, and among the most completely recyclable of all metals.

Battery Scrap refers to used lead-acid batteries from automotive, industrial, and telecom applications. The entire battery contains lead plates, lead oxide paste, and sulphuric acid. The most abundant source of secondary lead globally — over 80% of all lead produced is from recycled batteries.

Lead Plates are the grid and plate components removed from disassembled batteries. They have a higher lead purity than whole battery scrap since the casing and acid have been removed. Widely traded as a clean, dense, high-value lead scrap grade.

Lead cable sheathing comes from old telephone, power, and data cables where lead was used as an outer protective layer. It is a very clean, high-purity lead scrap. Increasingly available as old cable infrastructure is retired and replaced.

Lead dross is the oxide-rich material skimmed from the surface of molten lead during smelting or refining. It has significant lead content but requires further processing. A normal byproduct of any lead recycling or smelting operation.
